Job summary

Mercy Health System is seeking an Laboratory Support Technician (LST III) to join the provider care team. This role supports reports, data, and scheduling for the laboratory while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality and Mercy Service Standards.

The LST III will perform specimen collection, processing, transport, and assist technologists with testing as required, contributing to timely and accurate laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year phlebotomy or clinical lab experience.
• Mercy LST II designation or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect specimens for laboratory testing using safe methods.
• Process, transport and refer laboratory specimens and reports.
• Assist with limited laboratory testing and support technologists.
