Job summary

PALS OHIO, LLC. is seeking an In-Home Care Specialist to provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in home and community settings in Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities include implementing Individual Service Plans, supervision, documentation, transportation, and skill development across daily living, health, and community activities. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, a valid Ohio driver's license, strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to person-centered

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
• Current Ohio Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Criminal Background verification with acceptable clearance.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to work as a team member and communicate effectively with persons served and staff.
• Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written skills.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience or working with individuals with disabilities.
• Maintains current and annual training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide homemaker and personal care services.
• Support health and medical care needs of individuals served.
• Assist with dietary and special menu orders.
• Develop independent living skills and community employment interests.
• Use adaptive equipment and manage assistance supplies/items.
• Promote mobility and safety awareness.
• Provide transportation as needed.
• Support socialization and leisure activities.
