PALS OHIO, LLC. is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Columbus, OH to assist individuals with disabilities in home and community settings. This role requires a High School diploma and the ability to communicate in American Sign Language (ASL).

The In-Home Care Specialist will implement the Individual Service Plan, provide supervision and hands-on assistance, and support daily living, health, and safety needs across program activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must communicate with American Sign Language (ASL).
• Current Ohio Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Criminal Background verification with acceptable clearance.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule and provide supervision and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Safely provide transportation as needed.
• Ensure safety equipment is in good working order.
• Provide individual supervision and support.
• Document transportation, billing and program documentation.
• Attend regular staff meetings.
• Promote a supportive environment by modeling guidelines and people-first language.
• Implement all job requirements in home and/or community settings.
