PALS OHIO, LLC. is hiring an In-Home Care Specialist to support individuals with disabilities in Lawrence, South Point, OH.

The role centers on hands-on supervision, caregiving, and implementing each person’s service plan in home or community settings. You will provide homemaker and personal care services, health and medical support, meal planning, and life skills coaching while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team and family members.

Qualifications

• Must successfully pass the DOT physical.
• Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
• Current Ohio Drivers License with acceptable driving record is required
• Criminal Background verification, with acceptable clearance according to applicable rules and requirements. Driving history must meet insurance carrier requirements.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule and provide responsible supervision and assistance to adults with Developmental Disabilities.
• Ability to work as a team member and communicate in a positive and effective manner with persons served, support staff, and others.
• Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written skills
• Ability to work with diverse groups and individuals
• Maintains current and annual training requirements
• Must have at least one (1) year of healthcare experience or working with disabilities individuals.

Responsibilities

• Safely provide transportation as needed.
• Insure all safety equipment is in good working order
• Responsible for Individual supervision/support
• Responsible for documentation, including but not limited to, transportation, billing and program documentation.
• Contributes to and attends regular staff meetings.
• Promotes a supportive environment by modeling the guidelines of company philosophy, confidentiality, people-first language, empowerment, and fair and reasonable treatment of others.
