HR Coordinator – Full-time (Non-exempt)
Rate: Pay Grade: D – $19.6892/hour ($40,953 annually) to $30.9400/hour ($64,355 annually). Minimum starting salary based on prior experience and education.

Position Description:
Under the direction of the Chief of Human Resources, the HR Coordinator provides administrative and clerical support to the HR department. Responsibilities include recruitment, onboarding, new hire orientations, record management, and HRIS functions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates hiring; collaborates with managers to understand job requirements; handles inquiries and attends recruiting fairs.
- Manages the annual seasonal job fair for Lake Metroparks.
- Performs background checks and verifies employee eligibility.
- Conducts new hire orientation and onboarding.
- Posts positions and manages applicants via the applicant tracking system.
- Maintains HR files, records, and documentation with confidentiality.
- Assists in developing job descriptions.
- Audits HR files for compliance and accuracy.
- Supports planning and execution of events like benefits enrollment, trainings, evaluations, and recognition events.
- Tracks compliance with trainings and evaluations.
- Coordinates HRIS operations and manages employee records within the system.
- Inputs and tracks information in the Learning Management System.
- Enters enrollments and modifications into insurance systems.
- Provides daily support to the HR department and handles inquiries.
- Generates HR reports and documents.
- Supports Volunteer Services activities as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of HR experience, including HRIS experience.
- Experience with Paycor/Paychex is a plus.

- Valid driver’s license, insurable on the Agency’s policy, pre-employment drug screening, and background check required.
