Job summary

Addus HomeCare is urgently hiring flexible Home Care Aides to support clients in their homes. The Home Care Aide - Core works 5 days per week with at least one weekend day and 40 hours per week (20 hours guaranteed). Schedules are set by the supervisor and assignments cannot be refused on scheduled days.

Primary duties include following care plans, assisting with personal care, meals, housekeeping, and transportation to appointments. On-call shifts ensure continuous care for clients.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Call office each morning for assignment.
• Follow client care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide routine house cleaning, meals, and laundry assistance.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
