Job summary

Addus Homecare seeks a Home Care Aide - Core to support seniors and people with disabilities living at home. The role is on call for 5 days per week, 40 hours total with 20 hours guaranteed, weekend shifts possible, and assignments cannot be refused.

You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, light housework, meals, errands, and transport. You may assist with medications and report changes in condition. Must be at least 18, pass a background check, and have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation; if by car, valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans and report on completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor's appointments and errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client's condition.
