Job summary

Addus HomeCare is seeking a dedicated Home Care Aide - Core to support clients living at home. The role requires on-call duties and a consistent 40-hour week, with at least one weekend day. You will follow care plans, assist with daily activities, and coordinate transportation for medical and essential errands.

The right candidate will be compassionate, reliable, and able to work with limited supervision, ensuring safety and high-quality in-home care for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Willing to work 5 days per week, including at least one weekend day.
• On-call for 24-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Call the office each morning for assignments.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and personal care.
• Provide routine house cleaning, meals, and laundry.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications.
• Observe changes in client condition and report them.
