Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is seeking a Porter/Gatekeeper at Capstone Cottages of Lubbock, TX. This on-site role focuses on keeping common areas clean, safe, and well-maintained, with duties spanning landscape care, lighting, irrigation, pool area upkeep, and general maintenance.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or trade school, at least one year of lawn/grounds maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma with one year of full-time lawn/grounds maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Able to read and follow instructions and document labor and materials.
• Punctual, dependable, able to handle deadlines and after-hours/weekend emergencies.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to stand 8 hours or longer and lift up to 100 lbs as needed.
• Job location is at the assigned property; on-call except during PTO periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property condition per SOPs, OSHA, and industry standards.
• Perform physically demanding tasks to maintain asset and common areas.
• Remove trash and debris from common areas continuously.
• Sweep curbs, parking areas, walkways, and stairs; maintain stair treads.
• Maintain and repair exterior lighting and irrigation systems; report inventory.
• Mow lawns, trim beds, rake leaves, water and seed as needed.
• Install seasonal plantings and decorative features; prune plants as directed.
• Promote safety to minimize property loss and injury.
• Assist in snow removal and participate in training as needed.
