Job summary

Mercy EMS recruiting EMTs to provide direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, and basic life support in line with Mercy Health System standards.

This full-time role may require Hazmat awareness, BLS, and NIMS certifications within 90 days of hire; shifts vary. Eligible candidates must hold an EMT license and a valid driver's license, with the ability to operate EMS vehicles in diverse conditions.

Qualifications

• Licensure: EMT license for the state where employed, valid driver's license.
• Experience: at least 19 years old to operate Mercy EMS vehicles.
• Certifications/Registration: Hazmat Awareness, BLS for Healthcare Providers, NIMS 100, 200, 700 and 800 within 90 days of hire.
• May be required to work differing shifts and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, and basic life support.
• May also perform clerical, dispatch, and maintenance duties as required.
• Operates EMS vehicles and adheres to Mercy Health System standards.
