Job summary

Mercy EMS is seeking EMTs to perform direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, and basic life support in alignment with Mercy Health System standards. EMT-I personnel may also take on clerical, dispatch, and maintenance duties as required to support patient care operations.

Applicants must have an EMT license for the state, be at least 19 years old to operate Mercy EMS vehicles, and complete Hazmat Awareness, BLS, and NIMS certifications within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• EMT license required for the state of employment.
• Must be at least 19 years old to operate Mercy EMS vehicles.
• Hazmat Awareness, BLS for Healthcare Providers, NIMS 100, 200, 700 and 800 within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, and basic life support.
• For EMT-I, may perform clerical, dispatch, and maintenance duties as required.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
