Job summary

Mercy Health System seeks an EMT to provide direct patient care, assessments, and basic life support in emergency settings. You will operate EMS vehicles, collaborate with teammates, and may handle clerical, dispatch, and maintenance tasks as needed.

Applicants must hold a valid EMT license for the state, be 19+ years old to operate Mercy EMS vehicles, and obtain Hazmat Awareness, BLS, and NIMS within 90 days of hire. Some shifts may vary.

Qualifications

• Must have EMT licensure for the state of employment with valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 19 years old to operate Mercy EMS vehicles.
• Hazmat Awareness, BLS for Healthcare Providers, NIMS 100/200/700/800 within 90 days of hire.
• May be required to work varying shifts and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, and basic life support.
• Operate Mercy EMS vehicles and coordinate with team members during emergencies.
• May perform clerical, dispatch, and maintenance duties as required.
