Job summary

Mercy EMS is seeking an EMT to provide direct patient care, assess and evaluate patients, and deliver basic life support in accordance with Mercy Health System standards. The role may include clerical, dispatch, and maintenance duties as needed, with varying shifts and schedules.

Ideal candidates will hold an EMT license for the state, be at least 19 years old, and complete required Hazmat, BLS, and NIMS trainings within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• EMT license required for the state of employment.
• Must be at least 19 years of age to operate Mercy EMS vehicles.
• Hazmat Awareness, BLS for Healthcare Providers, NIMS 100/200/700/800 within 90 days of hire.
• Shifts and schedules may vary.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, and basic life support as per Mercy Health System guidelines.
• EMTs may perform clerical, dispatch, and maintenance duties as required.
• Respond quickly to ambulance calls and operate with partner in challenging environments.
