Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a dedicated Dockworker to support loading and unloading freight, ensuring safety and accurate handling at our service centers. The role requires operating forklifts, securing cargo, and assisting with overall warehouse tasks to meet on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with safe lifting and moving freight.
• Familiarity with freight forms (shipping orders, bills, manifests).
• Ability to operate hand held tablet and yard management system.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using forklift or manual methods.
• Transport self and freight around the service center.
• Monitor shipment locations with the yard management system.
• Read and interpret shipping labels and forms used in freight movement.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, or other supplies.
• Ensure quality loading of all trailers and meet delivery schedules.
