You will work with forklifts and manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of cargo and accurate movement of goods across trailers.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork to uphold our promise of reliable deliveries to customers. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow DOT guidelines are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school degree or equivalent.
• Experience with safe lifting and freight transport procedures.
• Familiarity with freight forms and shipping labels.
• Ability to operate forklift and use dock yard management system.
• Willingness to work varied shifts and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using a forklift, pallet jack, or manual methods, in line with DOT guidelines.
• Apply appropriate loading techniques (tight load, cross load) and secure freight inside trailers with straps or airbags.
• Move across service centers, monitor shipments via the yard management system, and read shipping labels.
• Complete forms related to freight movement (shipping orders, manifests, freight bills).
• Ensure quality loading of trailers and maintain safe handling practices.
• Collaborate with service center staff to meet schedules and deadlines.
