Job summary

Atomic Transport, based in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a diesel mechanic to join our team. You will perform repairs on trucks and trailers, conduct regular maintenance, and diagnose engine and exhaust system issues.

We offer competitive pay starting at $30 per hour, weekly pay, paid holidays/vacation, and a comprehensive benefits package. CDL-A preferred but not required; welding experience is required; basic tools provided for larger tasks.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and exhaust systems.
• Own a set of basic hand tools.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• CDL-A preferred but not required.
• Welding experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Knowledge of Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems.
• Knowledge of engine diagnostic software.
• Conduct regular maintenance and service trucks.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Diagnose problems and plan repairs.
• Perform road-side service calls.
• Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks.
• Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
• Must have own basic hand tools.
• Specialty and larger tools will be provided.
• Valid license is required, CDL-A is a plus.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
