Atomic Transport is hiring a Diesel Mechanic at our Indianapolis, IN location. The role offers a competitive salary ($75,000-90,000) and a benefits package with paid time off and 401(k).

The position emphasizes safety, regular hours, and opportunities for advancement within a local bulk hauling operation. The ideal candidate will repair and maintain trucks and trailers, work with exhaust aftertreatment systems, and use engine diagnostic software.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• CDLA is preferred but not mandatory.
• Able to work more than 40 hours per week.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Pass pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Knowledge of Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems.
• Knowledge of engine diagnostic software.
• Conduct regular maintenance and service trucks.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Diagnose problems and plan repairs.
• Perform road-side service calls.
• Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks.
• Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
• Must have own basic hand tools.
• Specialty and larger tools will be provided.
• Perform safety repair on Tractor- Trailer tires.
