Job summary

Atomic Transport, based in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking an A Tech to join the team. The role offers long-term stability with competitive pay and growth opportunities within a trusted local hauling company.

Responsibilities include diagnosing wiring and exhaust systems, performing truck and trailer repairs, and providing roadside service. Candidates should have tools, CDL is preferred but not required, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail is essential for accurate repairs and records.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass pre-employment screening (drug test and background check).
• Must have own basic hand tools; specialty and larger tools provided.

Responsibilities

• Extensive background knowledge in wiring diagnostics.
• Diagnose exhaust after-treatment systems.
• Use diagnostic software including Cummins Insite and other systems.
• Perform minor and major truck and trailer repairs.
• Provide roadside service calls.
• Prioritize and diagnose problems and plan repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of each repair performed.
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
• Share repair skills with other technicians.

We operate a fleet of over 600 tractors and 900 trailers, including top-tier models from Kenworth, Freightliner, Mack, and Western Star. Our trucks are powered by reliable Cummins X15, MP-8, and DD-13 engines, ensuring performance and efficiency across all operations.

What we Offer:

• Pay: $75,000-90,000anuallydepending on experience.
• Weekly Pay, plus time and a half for OT.

• Perform minor and major truck and trailer repairs.
• Perform roadside service calls.
• Prioritize and diagnose problems and plan repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of each repair performed.
• Follow shop safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Willing to share your repair skills with other technicians.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong technical skills, problem solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass pre-employment screening (drug test and background check).
• Must have your own set of basic hand tools (specialty and larger tools will be provided).
• Class A CDL prefer not required.
