Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Unit Clerk/Nurse Aide for the 2E Telemetry unit. The role covers receptionist and secretarial duties on the unit, supporting nursing staff to ensure patient safety and comfort, while maintaining privacy and dignity.

Shift is nights (6:30 pm - 7:00 am) with a 72-hour biweekly schedule. Requires high school diploma, Nurse Aide training or CNA experience, and BLS. Prior data entry and medical terminology knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Nurse Aide training or 6 months CNA experience in healthcare setting.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of keyboard/computer and data entry.
• Medical terminology knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Perform hourly rounding on patients (Pain, Position, Personal needs, Possessions).
• Answer calls and relay information to staff promptly and professionally.
• Assist nursing staff with patient care: beds, baths, feeding, vitals, mobility, daily weights, glucose testing, intake/output.
