Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is hiring a day shift, full-time Surgical Technician to support the operating room team. The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT certification is required, and you will perform scrub duties, assist the surgeon, and ensure sterile field readiness.

You will work under the RN circulator, maintain sterile supplies, and adhere to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT certification.
• Annual 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a surgical technologist in the State of NJ.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsabilités

• Assists surgeon in the sterile field according to AORN Standards of Practice Recommendations.
• Performs scrub duties in varied specialties/procedures.
• Ensures the case has sterile supplies and equipment for the surgeon and procedure.
• Assists with circulating duties under the direct supervision of the RN circulator.
• Adheres to Hospital, State, and departmental policies and procedures.

Formation

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT Certification

High School or GED equivalent
