Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a day shift, full-time Surgical Technician to join the OR team. The Certified Surgical Technologist assists surgeons in the sterile field and performs scrub duties across varied procedures.

Responsibilities include ensuring sterile supplies and equipment, assisting with circulating duties under the RN circulator, and adhering to hospital policies. Candidates must be CST or NCCT-certified and complete ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT certification.
• Annual 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified as a surgical technologist in NJ.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Scrub duties in varied specialties/procedures.
• Assists with circulating duties under the RN circulator.
• Ensures sterile supplies and equipment for the surgeon and procedure.
• Adheres to hospital, state, and departmental policies.

Education

High School or GED equivalent

Graduate of Surgical Technologist Program

One year CST experience
