Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a day shift, full-time Surgical Technician (OR) to join our operating room team. The CST or NCCT certification holder will assist the surgeon in the sterile field, perform scrub duties across specialties, and ensure sterile supplies and equipment are ready for each case.

You will circulate under the RN circulator, adhere to hospital policies, and participate in ongoing CE credits (15 hours annually).

Qualifikationen

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT – Certification.
• Annually complete 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a surgical technologist in NJ.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• High School or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of Surgical Technologist Program.
• Minimum of one year as a Certified Surgical Technologist.

Aufgaben

• The Certified Surgical Technologist supports the surgeon in the sterile field according to AORN standards.
• Performs scrub duties in varied specialties/procedures.
• Ensures the case has sterile supplies and equipment for the surgeon and procedure.
• Assists with circulating duties under the direct supervision of the RN circulator.
• Ensures adherence to hospital, state, and departmental policies and procedures.
