Job summary

MBK Senior Living is seeking a Full-Time Cook to join our dining team. The Cook prepares delicious, healthful meals per recipes and menus, supporting residents’ well-being and exceeding dining standards in a hospitality-focused environment.

Open availability AM & PM, pay $19.00–$19.75 per hour. Requires High School Diploma or GED, valid Food Handler and ServSafe certifications, and 2+ years of cooking in a similar setting; strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current Food Handler’s Certification/Permit, required.
• Current ServSafe Certification required.
• Culinary Arts degree or formal vocational training from an accredited institution, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items in accordance with planned menus and recipes, ensuring high-quality, appealing meals that are nutritous and meet dietary requests.
• Prepare menu items per standardized recipes, ensuring proper stocking and inventory use.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation meeting HACCP standards and safety regulations.
• Ensure proper portion sizes, garnishment, and presentation for quality standards.
• Interact professionally with residents, guests, and staff and communicate feedback on meals.
