Job summary

The Child Saving Institute in Omaha, NE is seeking an Assistant Educator to support daily classroom activities, supervise children, and provide a safe, nurturing environment that promotes healthy development.

This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Qualifications include 1+ year in early childhood education, strong communication, and First Aid/CPR certification, with a CDA credential or plan to obtain within 12 months. Comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in early childhood education or child development.
• Strong communicator between staff, clients, and their caregivers.
• Observant of individual developmental stages and growth of children.
• Certified in First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain certification upon hire).
• Knowledge of child developmental stages, classroom management, and licensing requirements.
• At least 19 years of age and CDA credential OR equivalent (or willingness to pursue CDA within 12 months).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily classroom activities.
• Provide a safe, nurturing environment for young children.
• Foster healthy development through structured learning.
• Engage children with age-appropriate lessons and social interactions.
• Maintain daily records related to care and progress of each child.
• Ensure safety and engagement during activities and outings.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, and facilitate conferences.
