Job summary

Visionist Inc. is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a fully funded Prime contract at Fort Meade. The role requires an Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph and hands-on experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Python, and SQL databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 12+ years in software engineering.
• Strong experience with TS/JS and modern frontend frameworks (React/Angular/Vue).
• Experience with Python for app development, scripting, and data manipulation.
• Experience with SQL databases (SQLite, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data handling.
• Experience collaborating with customers to gather requirements; source control with Git/GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Develop web applications that convey data and analysis.
• Build data transforms across diverse data types and sources (text, JSON, databases, XML, config files).
• Gather feature requests from customers and define application requirements.
• Gain deep understanding of mission objectives and data to guide analysts.
• Maintain and architect applications and data transforms for analytics insight.
• Provide system administration support and contribute to server framework development.

• Develop web applications that intuitively convey data and analysis
• Develop data transforms across a variety of data types and sources, including text, JSON, databases, XML, and configuration files

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 12 years of experience in software engineering
• Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and React or another modern frontend framework such as Angular or Vue
• Experience using Python for application development, scripting, and data manipulation
• Experience working with SQL and multiple database technologies, including SQLite, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
• Experience working directly with customers to gather and define requirements
• Experience using Git and GitLab for source control
