Job summary

Visionist, Inc. is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to contribute to a fully funded PRIME contract, delivering data-rich web applications and data transforms for mission-critical analysis.

You will work on a diverse tech stack, collaborating with analysts, engineers, and policy makers to turn data into actionable insights. The role emphasizes developing scalable web applications, maintaining existing systems, and engaging customers to define requirements while supporting mission

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 12 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and React or another modern frontend framework such as Angular or Vue.
• Experience using Python for application development, scripting, and data manipulation.
• Experience working with SQL and multiple database technologies, including SQLite, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Experience working directly with customers to gather and define requirements.
• Experience using Git and GitLab for source control.
• Knowledge of dataframe libraries such as Pandas or Polars.

Responsibilities

• Develop web applications that intuitively convey data and analysis.

• Facilitate customer interactions to gather feature requests and define requirements.
• Develop deep understanding of mission objectives and data to guide analysts.
• Maintain and architect existing and new applications and data transforms to improve analytics.
• Manage and support mission-critical servers and contribute to server framework development.

• Facilitate customer interactions to gather feature requests, define new application requirements, and understand project and customer needs
• Develop a deep understanding of mission objectives and data to help analysts identify the right questions to ask
• Maintain and architect existing and new applications and data transforms to improve the understanding and presentation of analytics and data
• Manage and support mission-critical servers, contributing to server framework development and providing system administration support as needed

• 12 years of experience in software engineering

Salary range: $170,000-$240,000
