Visionist, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - Tools and Applications to design and deliver high-quality AI tools used by our operations teams. The role focuses on reliability, performance, and secure software, with opportunities to adapt FOSS to customer needs.

You will collaborate with customers and mission leadership to iterate solutions quickly. The position requires a technical degree, 3 years of software development experience, and strong Python/Langs, plus experience using LLMs in code

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required; 4 years additional experience can substitute degree.
• 3 years of software development experience required.
• Proficiency with Python or another Object-Oriented Programming language.
• Knowledge of and experience using LLMs as part of a code-solution workflow.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions; ability to learn new technologies quickly.

• Modify Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS) to fit customer use cases.

Salary range: $115,000 - $160,000
