Job summary

Visionist, Inc. is actively seeking a Software Engineer with TS/SCI clearance to join our team on a large PRIME contract.

You will develop and maintain distributed web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python, and design scalable microservices and data pipelines for high-tempo missions. You will deploy services across cloud-native environments with CI/CD pipelines and IaC, collaborating with analysts and researchers to advance offensive cyber tooling and rapid-response

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 12 years of experience in Software Engineering
• Production-grade software development with Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript for enterprise-grade distributed web apps
• End-to-end full-stack experience: frontend, RESTful APIs, databases, and backend services
• DevOps automation, Docker containerization, CI pipelines, cloud providers including AWS/C2S
• Git-based version control, testing frameworks, and Agile practices in teams

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, large-scale distributed web applications and full-stack solutions using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python
• Architect scalable microservices, REST middleware, and backend data processing pipelines for high-tempo mission requirements
• Deploy and manage services across cloud-native environments using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and DevOps automation
• Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab CI/CD, for rapid, secure software delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mission analysts, and vulnerability researchers to integrate engineering best practices into offensive cyber tooling and rapid-response capabilities
• Utilize AI-assisted development workflows to accelerate development for emergent mission opportunities

• Deploy and manage services across cloud-native environments using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and DevOps automation
• Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab CI/CD, to enable rapid, secure, and reliable software delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mission analysts, and vulnerability researchers to integrate engineering best practices into offensive cyber tooling and rapid-response capabilities
• Utilize AI-assisted development workflows, including Claude Code, Codex, and Opencode, to accelerate development for emergent mission opportunities

Requirements for your new career…

• Production-grade software development experience with Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript building enterprise-grade, distributed web applications
• Experience with end-to-end full-stack architecture, including modern frontend design, RESTful APIs, relational and non-relational databases, and backend services
• Experience with DevOps automation, Docker containerization, continuous integration pipelines, and cloud service providers, including AWS/C2S
• Experience with modern software engineering practices, including Git-based version control, testing frameworks, and Agile workflows within collaborative team environments

Salary range: $170,000 - $240,000
