Visionist, Inc. seeks a highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineer for a funded role on our largest PRIME contract.

You will develop full‑stack features with a focus on backend APIs, modernizing systems, and collaborating with customers to translate mission needs into effective technical solutions. We value hands‑on work across a diverse tech stack, including Django/Flask/FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes, and various databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• Experience building production‑grade applications and APIs using Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including Helm chart development and CI/CD integration.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with Git‑based version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Develop full‑stack system features based on customer requirements, focusing on backend API development.

• Support the automation development team through code reviews and enabling capabilities.
• Modernize and harden mission management systems, migrating to Kubernetes‑based infrastructure.

• Collaborate with customers and engineering teams to translate mission needs into technical solutions.

• 8 years of experience in software development
• Experience building production‑grade applications and APIs using Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar frameworks
• Experience with service containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, including Helm chart development and CI/CD integration
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB
• Familiarity with Git‑based version control and collaborative development workflows
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence

Salary range:

$150,000 - $190,000
