Job summary

Asher Health in Dallas/Richardson, TX is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to contribute across front-end and back-end development, with production support and DevOps responsibilities. The platform uses a microservices architecture spanning three external portals and one internal portal.

You will work with the Senior Software Engineer and an offshore team, implementing features, maintaining services, and ensuring reliability, with exposure to infrastructure and AI-assisted coding tools.

Qualifications

• : 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Solid Node.js back-end development experience, including working within a microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of AWS services and cloud deployment practices.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and general DevOps practices.
• Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Ability to read, write, and debug code across the stack.
• Understand data normalization rules and how to apply them.
• Comfort working independently during US business hours with an offshore team in a different timezone.
• Active use of AI coding tools in daily development workflow.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain front-end features using React, following the established design system and component library
• Develop and maintain Node.js microservices supporting front-end and platform functionality
• Contribute to API design and service-to-service integration across the microservices architecture
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code and participate actively in code reviews
• Collaborate with the Senior Software Engineer and offshore development team on feature delivery and technical design
• SQL proficiency — able to query databases and interpret results
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines for microservices deployment
• Assist with AWS infrastructure configuration, deployment, and monitoring; Terraform IaC
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code practices as the microservices footprint grows
• Monitor service health and performance, and help identify and resolve operational issues
• Use AI coding tools as core part of daily development workflow
• Apply AI tooling to accelerate development, debugging, and production issue resolution
• Production triage and resolution during US business hours; document incidents and resolutions
• Coordinate with Operations on issue intake and status updates
