Job summary

Asher Health in Dallas/Richardson, TX is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to contribute across front-end and back-end, with some production support and DevOps responsibilities. The platform uses a microservices architecture spanning three external-facing portals and one internal administrative portal.

You will build features with React, develop Node.js microservices, design APIs, and help deploy via CI/CD on AWS.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Solid Node.js back-end development experience, including working within a microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of AWS services and cloud deployment practices.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and general DevOps practices.
• Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Ability to read, write, and debug code across the stack.
• Understand data normalization rules and how to apply them.
• Comfort working independently during US business hours with an offshore team in a different timezone.
• Active use of AI coding tools in daily development workflow.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain front-end features using React, following the established design system and component library.
• Develop and maintain Node.js microservices supporting front-end and platform functionality.
• Contribute to API design and service-to-service integration across the microservices architecture.
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code and participate actively in code reviews.
• Collaborate with the Senior Software Engineer and offshore development team on feature delivery and technical design.
• SQL proficiency – able to query databases and interpret results.
