Job summary

Amgen Inc. (IR) is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to web application development across front-end and back-end stacks.

You will build front-end features with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ReactJS preferred) and services with Python/Node.js on AWS, while leveraging AI, LLMs, and related frameworks. You will collaborate with design and product teams, write clean, tested code, and participate in reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred; other engineering fields considered.
• Cloud computing certificate preferred.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to collaborate globally.
• High initiative, able to manage multiple priorities; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, preferably ReactJS.
• Develop and manage back-end services using Python or Node.js on AWS.
• Work with generative AI, LLMs, agentic workflows, RAG patterns, or AI orchestration.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to translate user needs into technical requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain system uptime and optimal performance.
• Learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
