Job summary

Asher Health is hiring a mid-level Software Engineer to contribute across front-end and back-end engineering, with production support and DevOps exposure. The role spans React-based UI, Node.js services, and cloud deployment on AWS within a microservices platform.

You will collaborate with a Senior Engineer and an offshore team, participate in code reviews, and support production reliability. The role emphasizes AI-assisted development tools as part of daily workflows.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Solid Node.js back-end development experience in a microservices setup.
• Knowledge of AWS services and cloud deployment practices.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and general DevOps practices; Terraform or similar IaC.
• Ability to read, write, and debug code across the stack.
• Comfort working independently during US business hours with offshore team.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain front-end features using React and design system components.
• Develop and maintain Node.js microservices supporting front-end and platform functionality.
• Contribute to API design and service-to-service integration across microservices.
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with the Senior Software Engineer and offshore team on feature delivery and design.
• SQL proficiency to query databases and interpret results.
