Job summary

Batavia Container Inc in Batavia, IL is seeking an HR Recruiter to partner with Hiring Managers to attract diverse talent and manage full cycle recruitment. This role involves sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and coordinating with managers to meet staffing needs.

Under general supervision, you will develop candidate pipelines, maintain records in compliance with labor laws, and support HR initiatives. Travel to other locations may be required (about 20%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field is required.
• 1-3 years of recruiting experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
• Knowledge of Behavioral based interviewing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of HR practices and employment law compliance.
• Travel may be required to other locations (approximately 20%).

Responsibilities

• Conducts high volume recruitment searches for a variety of roles; sources candidates via multiple channels.
• Researches and drafts job performance requirements and job descriptions.
• Provides administrative support for hiring; posting requisitions, managing applicant files, background checks, onboarding paperwork.
• Develops relationships with Hiring Managers and candidates; anticipates staffing needs.
• Interviews candidates via phone, video, or in person.
• Collects and analyzes hiring metrics.
• Maintains contacts with recruitment sources and attends college recruiting events.
• Assists in orientation and induction of new employees; follows up with hires.
