Job summary

FacilityIG is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to own day-to-day HR administration and compliance from our Tempe, AZ office. Four+ years HR experience and knowledge of federal and AZ/TX employment law are required.

This full-time, hourly role covers recruiting, onboarding, payroll inputs, benefits, employee relations, and offboarding, plus licensing, bonding, and insurance. Expect 40 hours/week with competitive pay depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least two as generalist/ER.
• Knowledge of FLSA, I-9/E-Verify, ADA, FMLA, workers' comp, and AZ/TX wage-and-hour/paid-sick-leave requirements.
• Experience with contractor licensing, bonding, and commercial insurance administration preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams); Gusto/DocuSign/Procore a plus.
• Daily, hands-on use of AI tools (Claude, Copilot) to draft, summarize, analyze, and automate routine work.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Background check clearance essential.

Responsibilities

• Own recruiting execution: post openings, source/screen candidates, coordinate interviews, prepare offer letters via DocuSign.
• Order and adjudicate background checks and pre-employment drug screens, incl. FCRA notices.
• Run new-hire onboarding (I-9/E-Verify, W-4, direct deposit, policy acknowledgments, Gusto setup) and lead orientation.
• Maintain complete personnel files in SharePoint; audit timecards and process payroll items with Accounting.
• Administer benefits enrollment, open enrollment, PTO, leave, and accommodations; liaison to carriers/broker.
• First point of contact for HR questions, policy, pay, and benefits; handle complaints and performance docs.
• Maintain Employee Handbook/HR policies; run offboarding from exit to deactivation.
• Manage licenses, bonds, state registrations, tax filings; maintain renewal calendars.
• Administer brokered insurance policies; manage workers' comp end-to-end; log COI; audit annual premium.
