The Weitz Company in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Corporate Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruitment for assigned business units within our HR team. You will build strong relationships with hiring managers, source passive candidates, and drive an exceptional candidate experience.

Responsibilities include posting jobs, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, extending offers, onboarding, and supporting campus recruitment events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition.
• Experience sourcing passive candidates for hard-to-fill roles.
• Prior experience with construction or manufacturing recruitment is a plus.
• Degree required – an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle recruitment including creating/posting job advertisements, reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, providing candidate recommendations, scheduling interviews, and extending offers of employment.
• Communicate job requirements, expectations, and company culture to candidates, ensuring clarity and understanding for all parties involved.
• Partner with hiring managers across various business units to identify skills, knowledge, and ability for each opening and selection criteria.
• Initiate the onboarding process for new hires and ensure all requirements are completed prior to their start date.
• Participate in campus recruitment efforts by identifying new campus recruitment opportunities, preparing materials, attending career fairs/campus recruitment events, and assisting with the intern hiring process.
• Assist with and/or lead various talent acquisition projects and initiatives.
• Source passive candidates for unique or hard to fill roles.
• Lead routine staffing update meetings with hiring teams.
• Track metrics related to talent acquisition.
• Provide a best-in-class experience for candidates and hiring teams.
