Responsibilities

We manage large, complex catalogs across multiple brands and categories and are obsessive about catalog quality, inventory health, and operational scalability. As we continue to grow, we are building a world-class e-commerce finance team and are seeking an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper to take complete ownership of our day-to-day accounting, payroll, and financial record-keeping ecosystem.

Position Overview:

We are hiring a Full-Charge Bookkeeper to take full, end-to-end ownership of Rigle’s full-cycle accounting, payroll processing, team member onboarding, bill payments, and month-end financial reconciliations across multiple brands. This role is ideal for an experienced e-commerce bookkeeper who deeply understands transaction matching, multi-entity ledger management, accounts payable controls, and payroll compliance.

You will serve as the central operational owner for maintaining clean, highly accurate financial records, managing daily bank feeds, preparing bi-weekly payroll, and staging bill payments for executive approval. Working hand-in-hand with our Procurement Specialist and Leadership team, you will establish robust financial checks and balances. This is not a passive data-entry role — it requires meticulous attention to detail, strict confidentiality, proactive problem-solving, and complete accountability for the integrity of our financial data.

This is a full-time & on-site role.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll & Team Onboarding

• Onboard new team members by collecting, verifying, and setting up mandatory tax, compliance, and direct deposit documentation (W-4s, I-9s, payment details).
• Set up, manage, and process bi-weekly payroll runs, accurately calculating regular pay, overtime, bonuses, and deductions across payroll platforms (e.g., NetSuite).
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company payroll, executive compensation, and employee data, resolving payroll inquiries promptly.

Accounts Payable & Bill Payments

• Partner closely with the Procurement Specialist to execute 3-Way Matching (verifying Purchase Orders, receiving documentation, and vendor invoices) prior to ledger entry.
• Process, categorize, and schedule incoming vendor bills, ensuring accurate ledger placement across multiple brand accounts.
• Stage and draft all outgoing vendor payments, wires, and check runs inside payment portals for final owner/executive review and approval.
• Track vendor payment terms and early payment discounts to optimize cash outlay.

General Ledger, Bank Matching & Month-End Close

• Perform daily bank feed matching and proper transaction categorization across bank, credit card, and marketplace accounts.
• Complete comprehensive month-end account reconciliations for all bank accounts, credit cards, payment processors, and merchant accounts.
• Maintain the general ledger and generate month-end financial reports, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss (P&L), and Cash Flow statements.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, missing receipts, or ledger anomalies proactively.

Cash Flow Tracking & Cross-Functional Operations

• Monitor real-time operational bank balances and track short-term cash flow to guide the timing of vendor payouts and operational expenses.
• Work closely with Procurement and Marketplace operations teams to reconcile inventory payments, fee structures, and seller payouts.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously refine financial SOPs, closing checklists, and accounting workflows in tools like Asana and Notion.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping, e-commerce accounting, or full-cycle accounting (Experience with NetSuite ERP preferred).
• Hands-on experience processing multi-state payroll and managing HR/employee onboarding compliance.
• Solid understanding of 3-way matching principles (Invoice vs. PO vs. Receiving Document) and accounts payable controls.
• Proven track record in bank reconciliations, multi-account matching, and preparing month-end financial statements.
• Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and e-commerce financial workflows (marketplace payouts, payment gateways, third-party bill pay tools like Bill.com/Melio).
• High integrity, strong ethics, and absolute commitment to maintaining confidential financial and payroll information.
• High ownership mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a structured, methodical approach to record-keeping.
• Experience creating and maintaining accounting SOPs, closing playbooks, and tracking templates in tools like Asana and Notion.
