What You’ll Be Doing:
- General Ledger & Close: Own core parts of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close; prepare journal entries, accruals, and detailed reconciliations.
- Inventory & COGS: Partner closely with operations and supply chain to track cost accounting, reconcile inventory between ERP and warehouse records, and investigate variances.
- Multi-Channel Revenue & Cash: Reconcile cash, merchant processors, and revenue streams across multi-channel retail and digital platforms.
- AP / AR & Vendor Relations: Oversee transactional flows, review coding, process disbursements, resolve deductions/chargebacks, and manage aging schedules.
- Process Optimization: Help streamline controls, improve cross-departmental reporting workflows, and implement best practices in a fast-paced environment.
Who You Are:
- Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2+ years of progressive, hands‑on general accounting experience (solid grasp of GAAP and accruals is a must).
- Problem Solver: Naturally curious: you love digging past surface‑level entries to investigate discrepancies and see solutions through to completion.
- Technical Chops: Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills; familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a major plus!).
- Bonus Points: Prior experience in CPG, food/beverage, retail/distributor chargebacks, or inventory-based accounting.
- Location: Comfortable working on-site in a collaborative office.
