Job summary

Amazon is seeking an entry-level Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates in California fulfillment operations. The role focuses on motivating, mentoring, and developing staff to meet safety, quality, attendance, and performance targets on the production floor.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily activities, ensuring tools and resources are available, and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed between May 2024 and August 2026.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Currently enrolled in or graduated with a degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs.
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment and step in as needed.
