Job summary

Penn Tank Lines is seeking an Operations Supervisor (Dispatcher) to coordinate driver schedules, load assignments, and daily terminal activity, supporting accurate and timely deliveries. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to dispatch procedures in a fast-paced terminal environment.

The successful candidate will oversee driver activity, develop schedules, monitor inventories, and plan loads to ensure efficient service delivery, while maintaining communication with drivers,

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication with drivers, suppliers, and leadership.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain scheduling accuracy.
• Experience in logistics or transportation operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily driver activity and address delivery issues.
• Develop and adjust delivery schedules based on routing plans and priorities.
• Monitor inventories and coordinate allocations with suppliers.
• Plan and sequence loads to ensure efficient deliveries.
• Evaluate performance and report issues to Terminal Management.
• Review driver logs and coordinate maintenance scheduling.
