Job summary

Southern States Cooperative, Inc. (SSC) seeks an experienced Petroleum Driver to operate diesel and propane deliveries across customer sites in Maryland. You will load, transport, and unload fuel, comply with DOT regulations, perform basic maintenance, and document inventory and deliveries.

This role requires a valid CDL, HazMat endorsement, and the ability to work extended hours in varying weather, with on-site installation and customer interaction as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Commercial Driver's License (Class B or A) required.
• Hazardous Materials Endorsement required or able to obtain.
• Tankers endorsement may be required.
• Petroleum/Propane Certification or able to obtain.
• Minimum two years experience as Petroleum Driver or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate SSC commercial motor vehicles delivering fuel products to customers.
• Load and unload fuel and equipment, calibrate settings, and maintain records.
• Provide safe, reliable, prompt delivery and communicate with customers.
• Perform on-site installation of fuel equipment where required.
• Maintain daily logs and inventory and assist with shipping/receiving as needed.
