Job summary

Southern States Cooperative is hiring Petroleum Drivers to safely operate commercial vehicles and deliver heating oil, kerosene, diesel, gasoline, and propane. You will load, calibrate equipment, and maintain records while following SSC procedures and DOT regulations.

The role requires a valid CDL with HazMat and possibly Tanker endorsements, along with propane or petroleum certification. Expect routine training, customer interaction, and on-site equipment service where needed.

Qualifications

• Requires Commercial Driver's License (Class B or A) and HazMat endorsement.
• Requires Tanker and/or Air Brake endorsements (or ability to obtain).
• Requires Petroleum and/or Propane Certification (or ability to obtain).
• Must be able to read and interpret operations manuals and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Operate SSC commercial motor vehicles to deliver fuel products and maintain equipment.
• Load, unload and deliver fuel according to work orders and safety procedures.
• Comply with DOT regulations and SSC safety policies.
• Provide on-site installation or maintenance of equipment when required by location.
• Maintain daily logs, inventories and maintenance records accurately and timely.
• Communicate with customers professionally and coordinate with supervisors on deliveries.
