Job summary

Southern States Cooperative, Inc. is seeking Petroleum Drivers to deliver heating oil, kerosene, diesel, gasoline, and propane.

You will operate company commercial vehicles, load and unload, and perform on-site equipment installation as needed while following DOT regulations and SSC procedures. Role requires strong safety awareness, valid CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements, and the ability to read manuals and work with GPS systems.

Qualifications

• Requires CDL A or B and HazMat endorsement.
• Tanker and Air Brake endorsements or ability to obtain.
• Petroleum and/or Propane certification or ability to obtain.
• Gas fitter's license in some locations may be required.
• Read/interpret operations manuals and safety procedures.
• Able to operate GPS navigation and SSC business systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, load, and deliver fuel products while complying with DOT regulations.
• Load/unload and handle fuel, propane, and related equipment at customer sites.
• Maintain daily truck logs and maintenance records.
• Perform on-site installation and maintenance of fuel equipment as needed.
• Communicate with customers and supervisors about deliveries and account details.
• Adhere to safety, quality control, and PPE requirements, and work extended hours when required.
