Job summary

Southern States Cooperative, Inc. (SSC) seeks a Petroleum Driver to operate commercial vehicles delivering heating oil, kerosene, diesel, gasoline, and propane to customers.

The role requires safe loading, compliance with DOT regulations, and on-site equipment installation when needed. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL (Class B or A), and HazMat, Tanker, and Petroleum/Propane certifications or the ability to obtain them.

Qualifications

• Requires Commercial Driver's License (Class B or Class A)
• Hazardous Materials Endorsement (or ability to obtain)
• Tanker endorsement (or ability to obtain)
• Petroleum and/or Propane Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum two years Petroleum Driver experience (Grade 426)

Responsibilities

• Operate and deliver fuel products by commercial vehicle following DOT rules.
• Load and unload fuel and equipment per SOPs; perform safe loading.
• Maintain logs, records and inventory; provide customer updates on deliveries.
• Install, maintain and repair equipment at customer sites when required.
• Communicate with customers and supervisor to coordinate deliveries and service.
