Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to own the design of fluid-handling, thermal, mechanical, and secondary-structure components for the integrated fuel cell assembly. You will work on multi-disciplinary programs, verify through analyses, and document interfaces with suppliers and internal teams.

The role emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and delivering robust flight hardware within a fast-paced lunar-transport mission framework.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related technical field.
  • 2+ years of relevant aerospace experience (internships included).
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling and PLM systems.
  • Familiarity with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
  • Understanding of piping, instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Knowledge of fluid and thermal systems components.

Responsibilities

  • Design fluid-handling, thermal, mechanical, and secondary-structure components for the fuel cell assembly.
  • Define requirements and support design decisions to balance cost, schedule, and risk.
  • Use CAD tools for design and perform analyses (structural, thermal, CFD).
  • Collaborate with other subsystems and document components and assemblies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and Blue Origin teams to procure and install flight hardware.
  • Create test plans and oversee development testing and qualification.
