Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to own the design of fluid-handling, thermal, mechanical, and secondary-structure components for the integrated fuel cell assembly. You will work on multi-disciplinary programs, verify through analyses, and document interfaces with suppliers and internal teams.

The role emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and delivering robust flight hardware within a fast-paced lunar-transport mission framework.

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related technical field.
2+ years of relevant aerospace experience (internships included).
Experience with 3D CAD modeling and PLM systems.
Familiarity with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
Understanding of piping, instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
Knowledge of fluid and thermal systems components.

Responsibilities

Design fluid-handling, thermal, mechanical, and secondary-structure components for the fuel cell assembly.
Define requirements and support design decisions to balance cost, schedule, and risk.
Use CAD tools for design and perform analyses (structural, thermal, CFD).
Collaborate with other subsystems and document components and assemblies.
Coordinate with suppliers and Blue Origin teams to procure and install flight hardware.
Create test plans and oversee development testing and qualification.
