Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Washington state is seeking an experienced engineer to develop and integrate real-time embedded control systems for the Fuel Cell Generator assembly used in lunar transport programs.

You will work across mechanical, electrical, thermal, fluids, and gas systems, performing SIL/HIL testing, model analyses, and certification planning under DO-178/NPR 7150 guidelines. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree or equivalent experience in relevant engineering fields.
  • 3+ years’ experience in real-time embedded control for aerospace systems.
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink and autocoding.
  • Experience with unit testing, SIL/HIL testing.
  • Experience with Git or similar revision control.
  • Proficient in Python and C/C++.
  • Experience complying with DO-178 and NPR 7150.
  • Strong teamwork and communication.
  • U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical, electrical, thermal, fluid, and gaseous control systems from requirements to verification.
  • Integrate sensors, actuators, and algorithms for a spaceflight-ready application.
  • Modify signal processing and control algorithms for embedded platforms.
  • Test software in real-time SIL and HIL environments.
  • Support plant models analysis and design efficient logic and state machines.
  • Contribute to verification, validation procedures and subsystem testing.
  • Plan certification strategies per DO-178/NPR 7150; support ground and flight tests.
