Job summary

Blue Origin in Colorado is seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to own the design of fluid-handling, thermal, and secondary-structure components within the integrated fuel cell assembly for lunar missions. You will integrate requirements, balance cost and risk, and contribute to documentation and testing plans, collaborating across subsystems.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/Aerospace/Physics or related field.
• 2+ years in aerospace or related industry.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and PLM systems.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 GD&T and P&IDs.
• Knowledge of fluid and thermal systems in aerospace hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design fluid-handling, thermal, mechanical and secondary structure in the fuel cell assembly.
• Contribute to requirements definition and design decisions balancing cost, schedule and risk.
• Use CAD and perform structural, thermal and CFD analyses.
• Collaborate with subsystems and document components thoroughly.
• Procure components, manage suppliers and oversee flight hardware installation.
• Create test plans and lead development testing and qualification.
• Communicate status, risks, and challenges to management.
