Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician I to service fuel cells at Walmart locations, with a focus on preventative maintenance and rapid breakdown resolution. The role requires strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, safety awareness, and customer-facing communication.

You will perform diagnostics, field retrofits, and software/hardware upgrades, while reporting incidents and maintaining service logs. Travel to sites is required and candidates must lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three (3) or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a specific location.
• Performing specialized service procedures, including field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Providing emergency support service to customers as required.
• Purchasing tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support as required.
• Travel as required for business needs; drive safely and adhere to traffic laws.
• Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions.
• Complete administrative duties and documentation, including incident reports and service logs.
