Job summary

Plug Power Inc. in Hermiston, OR is seeking a Field Service Technician to service fuel cells in electric lift trucks at Walmart locations. You will diagnose, maintain, and upgrade fuel cell systems, and report issues with detailed service logs.

The role requires 3+ years of mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, a high school diploma with electrical coursework, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Tools must be provided by the employee; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of direct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work with diverse teams.
• Must provide own standard tools; fuel cell-specific tools provided by Plug Power.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites, including Walmart-Hermiston, OR.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance for the fleet.
• Install field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades on fuel cells.
• Provide on-call support and report breakdown events with service logs.
• Procure tools, equipment, and parts; manage field documentation and safety.
