Job summary

GFiber seeks a Field Operations Manager I to oversee field support, balancing central office and field duties. You’ll lead a team of technicians including OSP plant maintenance and residential installers, ensuring safe, efficient installation and repair of network infrastructure.

You will coordinate with contractors and vendors, troubleshoot issues end-to-end, and promote best practices. Willingness to travel up to 10% and work non-standard hours is required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Fiber to the Home (FTTH)/ GPON/ XGS network construction or large-scale deployments.
• 5 years of experience managing relationships with contractors and suppliers.
• 3 years in a people manager position.
• Experience with physical layer networking components (copper cabling, fiber, patch panels).
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and pass driving record checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a field operations team of technicians.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate construction, installation, repair, and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot service issues from central office to customer premises.
